About our Live-in Carers

We are specialists in 24-hour Live-in care; we have a large team of registered Live-in Care Heroes who have been chosen because they have a wealth of care experience and meet our extremely high standards.

Though we believe that all our staff are incredibly special, we know that live-in carers are more than just caregivers; they become an integral part of your life and are often looked upon as friends. That is why we work tirelessly to find a live-in carer that perfectly matches you and your needs in terms of their training and experience as well as their character and personality. During our initial assessment, we will ask you what you are looking for and what you need so that we can find the Live-in Care Hero that is right for you.

Whilst our Live-in Care Heroes can always be relied upon to deliver the very best care every day, they will also do everything you need – whether it is helping with chores, personal care, medication management or just being a friendly face to talk to – so that you can continue to live the life you choose in the comfort and security of your own home.

All our live-in carers must pass an intensive interview and vetting process which will include face-to-face interviews, right to work checks, enhanced DBS, full employment history, and at least two satisfactory references. They must also have previous experience, plus they must complete our in-house training program (including 25 different subjects) to ensure they meet our high standards of care and professionalism.

Rest assured, every aspect of our live-in service is fully managed by us and every live-in carer is directly supervised by us; their performance is constantly reviewed and we also perform spot checks to ensure that they meet with our exacting standards and are delivering the care and attention you deserve and expect.

FAQ

We have been asked many questions about the Live-in care we provide over the years, here is some of the most frequently asked.
01. Is CareService24 registered with Care Quality Commission?
Yes, and we are very proud that we have been rated GOOD for all five key lines of enquiry (KLOE’s) which are Safe, Caring, Effective, Responsive and Well led.
02. What area do you cover
Our live in clients live in and around Dorset and Hampshire. You can always contact us to check our availability in your area.
03. What types of home care services can you offer?
Our live in carers are able to assist you with your day to day living and also your personal care. They will be with you day and night to make sure that you are able to do everything that you want to do and support you with what you are not able to do on your own. The service we can offer you will depend on your needs and preferences and you will be able to choose from the following options: • Basic Package will include housekeeping, companionship, and basic personal care. • Medium Package will include housekeeping, companionship, personal care, medication management and continence management. • Advanced Package will include housekeeping, companionship, personal care, medication and continence management, hoisting, PEG feeding, end of life care. • Care for Couple will include an Advanced Package (as above) for couples. 04. What can't your carers help me with?
Even though our live in carers have their own insurance and they would love to help you with everything that you need them to support you with, we do have health and safety to consider and therefore there will be tasks that they will not be able to do. Examples will include: Toe/fingernail cutting, ear syringing, any invasive procedures, any heavy lifting or climbing on ladders, any withdrawals of money from bank accounts or cash points and no signing or witnessing of wills. This is just a few examples, but we will provide you with a full list during the assessment process.
05. How do you select your staff?
We aim to employ people who think alike and who understand and reflect our company values in their behaviours. Even though our live in carers are self-employed we also complete all the relevant employment checks with them. Our candidates journey begins with 2 interviews, one of which is a face to face meeting. When they pass this part of the vetting process, we move on to the relevant employment checks including: enhanced DBS, full employment history and at least 2 satisfactory reference checks. Only when we are satisfied with all these checks, we are happy to offer our assignments to live in carers. We always do our best to find a live in carer that matches you and your needs in terms of their training, experience as well as their character and personality.
06. Does the agency have a staff training programme and are they trained and able to accommodate my specific needs?
All our live in carers are self-employed and have had previous training and experience, but we still expect them to complete our training to make sure that they work the way we expect them to work with our clients. Overall, our staff complete 25 different subjects including Moving and Handling. Medication, Dementia Care, First Aid, End of Life, pressure Care, Stroke and Epilepsy Training. We will always do our best to match the specific needs of our clients with the skills and training of our live-in carers. During the assessment we will ask you to be specific in what you need and what you are looking for so that we can find the right live in carer for you.
